ABOUT
"Deidre has all the tools at her disposal- the acting chops, the vocal mastery, and the charisma- that a young leading lady needs. How refreshing it is that
she is not content to be just an ingénue, but is instead a funny, subversive and mischievous talent. There’s an off-center quality and a bit of a madcap gleam in her eye that sets her far apart from your standard ingénue." — Brian Sgambati, Assistant Professor of Theatre, Wagner College
My first headshot
Hi! Welcome to my website!
I am an NYC-based performer with a B.A. in Theatre Performance from Wagner College, as well as a true New Jersian upbringing (you don't want to see me drive). When I cleared out the entire Stage Left restaurant in New Brunswick, NJ with my bellowing rendition of the ABCs, my parents brought me to my first community theatre audition at the age of five. I was the Gretl to my father's Captain Von Trapp, and I found my first ever love for the spotlight, which I prolonged as much as I possibly could, by famously taking the slowest steps known to man during the Act II wedding sequence. Our director told my father that "the ham doesn't fall far from the pig..."
After years of community theatre, I began my training at Paper Mill Playhouse and Wagner College, where I honed my skills in as many styles of musical theatre, dance, and singing as I could fit into my developing brain and miniature body. I have since started working regionally and on tour, and now I couldn't be happier to keep learning from the work I do, the places I travel to, and the people I meet.
Outside of performing, you can find me in Hamilton Heights serving and bartending, writing with too many words for my blog, or winning board game night!
I truly believe that the best part of this industry is growing your social circle and expanding the invite list to your lifelong dinner party. And with that, I am so happy that you are here!
